Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam started her career as a banker with First Bank of Nigeria Plc. She then joined academia in University of Ilorin where she obtained a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the University of Nottingham, UK. She is currently a Senior lecturer at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and recently concluded a research visit to North Carolina State University, sponsored by the American government.

She has vast experience in teaching, research, science communication, and publications in reputable international journals. She has been profiled by several reputable communications outfits including nature , the world’s most prestigious scientific journal. She continues to mentor over 150 former students and other youths around the world. 

Dr Amina is also the Founder and CEO Carnation Consults www.carnationicl.com, an education and professional development company. She is its lead public speaker trainer and coach. She is the Chairperson of a new eponymous non-profit Foundation.

She recently launched two books she authored to wide acclaim namely Knowing Microbes and Time Management for Professional Women. She also has an online course on Udemy www.bit.ly/. Abideen has travelled to five different continents in the last eight years. He has consulted and worked with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded project, Restless Development-UK, KTN Global Alliance Africa-UK, Project Everyone-UK, CIVICUS-South Africa, AfriLabs-Abuja, U-Invest(Egypt), and recently WheelsForAfrica(a startup that won the World Health  Organisation Award) in Kenya, African Union and United Nations. He is a tri-sector business leader with investments in Oil and Gas, Agritech and recently Healthtech.

Adeola Bojuwoye is a seasoned IT Professional and Managing Director with over a decade
expeience in the information Technology Industry.He is a Delivery partner for Microsoft
Azure (Nigeria) with advanced proficiency in Business Appraisal Paradigms (like Six, Sigma,
TQM and Lean Systems), Enterprise Risk Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship
Management.
Adeola is competent in a lot of fields which include: Database Administration, Web/Mobile
Application Development, Database Administration, Sales Marketing, Project
Management, Risk Assement, Monitoring and Evaluation, Quality Control, Customer
Service, Technical Troubleshooting and a lot more.
He is the Founder and Managing Director of Roundstone Consulting Limited, Nigeria
which was founded in August 2011 and is still running. He oversees the efficiency of
software application development, managing client websites and coordinating online
registeration portals. He collaborates with intenal and external quality assurance teams to
ensure continous quality training and increased quality standards in the execution of all
projects. He develop business rules, manuals, functional specification documents and
company policies with strong emphasies on quality, customer support and integrity by
designing performance goals and sales objectives per quarter, setting monthly quotas and
incentives for sales staff to drive increased productivity.

From March 2010 – August 2011 he worked as a Business Development advisor at Royal
Bank of Scotland, United Kingdom. He recieved award for outstanding performance in
2010 and 2011 while functioning as the acting head of Business Development for the
Manchester Business Unit. He perfommed credit risk assessments and actively
participated in securities and equity research programs, analysing information gathered
through worshops, surveys, business processed and seminars.
Also from June 2009 – Mach 2010 he was a Sales assistant at LBM Direct Marketing in
United Kingdom. He increased Customer retention rates by over 40% by addressing
product inquiries and ensuring timely resolution of complaints. He cocsistently surpassed
individual sales targets, call speed and volume benchmarks utilizing in-depth knowledge of
mobile and broadband technology, customer-centric approaches, marketing tools and
effective communication skills. He also increased profitability by 25% by devising effective
marketing strtegies for the bank’s asset and liability products.
He was a Banking Executive at Diamond Bank Plc, Nigeria from March 2006 – October
2008. He streamlined operational effecicencies by managing international operations
(INITOPS) transactions across all Kaduna and vault capacity against insurance limits and
also Managed a team of 12 Customer Service R epresentatives and TSOs and represented
the branch during the 2010 Transition to Flexcube 6.0.
Adeola in 2009 bagged his Master of science (MSc) in Management and Information
Systems at UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER, MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM with
Thesis: Cloud Computing: An Assessment of West Africa’s Readiness. He got his Bachelor
of science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 at AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY,
KADUNA STATE, NIGERIA with project: Energy Labeling of Building Materials: Testing and
Data Storage.
Adeola’s career achievements are mind blowing as he grew the turnover osf a start-up IT
establishment (Roundstone Consulting) from N10.5million in 2015 to over N130 million in
2020, reduced the exception count for tellers by 40% under 4 months functioning as the
Cash and Teller Services Supervisor (CTSS) with Diamond bank and also recieved the
creativity commendation award, actively served as an Open Source Contributor for
OpenEMR and the Fedena Project and successfully launched new products, services and
programs that increased the recognition and financail results.
Roundstone technology supported Tony Elumelu Foundation Support by managing
complete documentation, review and selection process aimed at selecting a minimum of
1000 entrepreneurs anually and providing training and seed capital funding to the tune of
$10,000.

AFOLABI KAYODE YUSUF is a financial inclusion and Digital financial services expert, an advocate of climate change technology with over 10 years of working experience in Global IT and Fintech Solutions. Specialization in Products Development and Management, Technical Support, Project Management, Sales and Marketing, Agent recruitment and Retention, and Cyber Crime. He began his career with a trade partner of telecommunication giant MTN where he helped drive the financial inclusion product of MTN in 2012. He later joined the first indigenous IT company in Nigeria TELNET Nigeria limited with PAYCOM NIGERIA LIMITED as one of its subsidiaries. PAYCOM was one of the first licensed mobile money operators in Nigeria. There, he was a pioneer Agency Banking Staff in Nigeria. He was instrumental in the NSIP/FGN conditional cash disbursement program of the FGN through financial inclusion drive in Northern Nigeria and South West. He was the pioneer Regional Business Manager (RBM) of global Fintech giant, flutter wave technology solutions limited In Northern Nigeria. Later moved on to become a Senior Regional Sales Manager and Head of Northern Business for leading African payment company Cellulant Inc. A Managing Partner, co-founder of clay Africa and a managing partner TalK-Tech Innovation Technology and the Current Business development manager of North Etranzact International PLC A graduate of computer science with a Master’s Degree in Information Communication Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Climate Change Economy Policy and Innovation. Afolabi also holds a Master’s in Business Administration Currently Running a Master’s in Cyber security. He also worked with Info strategy Technology Solutions Limited as an implementation executive on his extended Fintech journey.

Kabir Farida

Group Head of Growth & Brand, Sudo Africa

Farida is an Information and Communication Technology Manager with over 10+ years experience working across the private, public and international development sectors.

She is currently the Group Head of Growth & Brand at Sudo Africa, a VC-backed fintech company that provides a card issuing API for businesses and developers across Africa. In this role she is overseeing the rapid growth and expansion of the company’s products in sub Saharan Africa across their group of companies; a Microfinance Bank, a Card Issuing and Production Company and a Micro Lending Company. 

Prior to Sudo, Farida also served as a Digital Development Consultant within the World Bank Group’s Digital Development Global Practice on the 430 million USD Nigeria Identification for Development (ID4D) project (co-funded by the World Bank and EU). 

Farida also trains and mentors young girls on software development and career paths in IT. She is passionate about the conscious use of technology as a tool to improve socio-economic development indices in developing countries like Nigeria, particularly in healthcare and governance which will in turn translate into improved service delivery and transparency in delivering those services.

She has won various awards in the course of her career, including the 2022 Royal African Award by Ooni of Ife, 2020 Most Powerful People in Tech and YTech 100 by YNaija, the Innoventor Award by Verdant Zeal Group, and Nigeria’s 100 Most Inspiring Women of 2019 by Leading Ladies Africa. In 2016 she was the only Nigerian amongst five Africans that was awarded by the French President, François Hollande, in recognition of her pioneering entrepreneurial strides in Health Technology. 

Farida has also appeared in various media outlets both TV and print including, the Guardian, Business Day, Tech Cabal, Bloomberg, Le Monde Afrique, BBC etc.
